Cross Training Sports Camp
Vision Statement
Cross Training
Sports Camp is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization committed to
the teaching of sports with an emphasis on winning lost souls for
Jesus Christ. We also seek to minister to churches and/or
communities where access to the Gospel and organized sports training
is not readily available.
Goals
We believe God
has called us to the following goals:
-
To provide
an environment where children & families can hear, see and
experience the love of Jesus;
-
To establish
an environment where communities can see and learn about family
and see the Christian family lived out;
-
To provide
high quality sports education using college and/or professional
athletes as role models;
-
To provide
missions opportunities for individuals and families who feel
God’s call to share their life and witness through this
ministry;
-
To develop a
missions model by which this organization and future
organizations can operate;
-
To provide
age-appropriate Bible studies with emphasis given to evangelism
and to character development;
-
To develop &
organize a follow-up program.
Core Functions-Guiding Principles
We believe we
are called to minister to children and be an example to the
community at large. The following principles guide how we conduct
the Cross Training Sports Camp organization.
- Jesus Christ is central.
- Prayer is the foundation of
all work.
- We will operate on the
principle of FAITH:
- F-FORSAKING
- A-ALL
- I -I
- T-TRUST
- H-HIM
- Individuals will understand
and experience God’s power as they “die to self”, give up all
and trust Him in going forth for God to do a work in and through
them.
- The use of alcohol, tobacco
or illegal drugs while involved in a camp, staff meeting or any
CTSC activity will not be tolerated.
- We will continually seek to
“Mind our call for that is our all in all,” and be faithful to
our vision statement.
- All activities will be
aligned with and supportive of the mission statement and goals
of CTSC.
- We will strive to improve as
we grow being careful to follow God’s direction.
- We will at all times have
open and honest communication with our staff and partnered
communities (Eph.4: 15).
- Partnering communities and
churches will fulfill defined responsibilities in order that
camps may fulfill the mission.
